* if 4 x 2 = 8 then 4 x -2 = -8

3 x -3 = -9

2 x -4 = -8

if the second factor is a negative then the answer is negative (Devon)

2 x - 5 = -10

if the first factor is negative then the answer is negative (Jonathan)

-2 x 5 = -10

if there are 2 negatives then the answer is positive (Jack)

-2 x -5 = 10
